If you are using Microsoft Vista and are experiencing problems with Centra, please follow these steps.

 

1.      The first thing that you will need to do is open up your Control Panel from your Start menu and select User Accounts. Then click on User Accounts again.

1.      You will be taken to the Second user accounts page seen below where you should select “Turn User Account Control on or off”. You will be taken to a screen where you should remove the check from the box that says “Use user account control (UAC) to help protect your computer” and click OK.

2.      Return to the Control Panel and this time select “Uninstall a program”.

3.      You will be taken to a list of all of the programs currently installed on your computer. Find the one that says “Centra Client” and then select “Change/Uninstall”.

4.      Once the Centra Client has been fully removed from your computer, Login to the Centra login site at http://ecu.centra.com. Once you are logged on to Centra, select the Downloads link on the left side of the screen. Click on the “Client Installer (Windows)” link and you will be taken to a page where you can download and reinstall the Centra client. Follow the steps on the screen to install the Centra Client onto your computer.

5.      Once Centra has been reinstalled on your computer, attempt to attend a Centra event. If it works okay, you should follows steps 1 and 2 again to re-enable Use user account control (UAC) by re-checking the box next to “Use user account control (UAC) to help protect your computer” and click OK.
